Stump Came Up Big in Kearny's 56-16 Victory

Starting off the list is Kearny's Brodie Stump, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stump threw for 380 yards and six touchdowns while completing 78.4% of his passes.

Clairemont's probably not too fond of Stump given he always seems to get the better of them. Stump threw for 448 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards the last time he and the Chieftains duked it out back in October of 2023.

Hoover Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Cooper Woodhall

Hoover picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cooper Woodhall. Coronado had no answer to Woodhall as he picked up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Hoover is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Woodhall and Hoover will head out on the road to square off against Canyon Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Zaiden Gravely Leads Kearny over Clairemont

On Friday, Kearny got the W thanks in part to Zaiden Gravely playing the best football he has all season. Gravely picked up 184 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

This season, Gravely has caught 11 touchdowns while averaging 133.4 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 85.25 receiving yards per game.

Sir Autry's Big Game Leads Hoover over Coronado

The second Hoover player making an appearance here is Sir Autry, and for good reason. He rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Autry is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 134 every time he's taken the field this season.

If history really does repeat itself, Autry might just drop another big game when he faces off against Canyon Hills on Friday. Autry rushed for 322 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per carry the last time he and the Rattlers duked it out back in October of 2023.

On Friday, Kearny got the W thanks in part to Jaylen Hill playing the best football he has all season. Hill picked up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made two total tackles.

For the year, Hill has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 39.6 receiving yards per game.
