Apollo Ridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Brentwood Spartans 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on Monday.

The result came thanks to Brody Henderson's shutout, as he gave up just seven hits.

At the plate, Peyton Mamros was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Brayden McCracken was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Apollo Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Brentwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apollo Ridge will face off against Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brentwood, they will square off against Jeannette at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jayhawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
