Volleyball Recap: Warde Wins Going Away Against St. Joseph

Warde had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt St. Joseph on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Cadets with a sharp 3-0 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cadets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Warde was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-12.

Warde had a senior duo take command as Kayla Huynh had 12 digs and one assist and Elizabeth Zichil had five digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Zichil.

Warde was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Warde's record now sits at 6-0. As for St. Joseph, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.
