Baseball Game Preview: Framingham Flyers vs. Brookline Warriors

Framingham hasn't had much luck against Brookline recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Flyers will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Framingham is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wellesley.

Meanwhile, Brookline fell victim to Newton North and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Brookline got a good showing from Kyu Miller, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Miller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Brookline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Hoffman, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Hoffman hit this season.

Brookline's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Framingham, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
