Football Recap: Bloomfield Skates Past Wakefield with Ease

Bloomfield's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wakefield Trojans 64-0. Fans of the Bees have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Brock Jeannoutot was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 228 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another big playmaker for Bloomfield was Max Smith, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bloomfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 330 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Bloomfield and Wakefield will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bees will face off against rival Crofton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wakefield is set to square off against their familiar foe Wisner-Pilger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
