Softball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

Christian Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ridgeview Christian Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-8 last Tuesday.

Michalea Furrow and Chloe Setliff stepped up to the plate in a big way. Furrow got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Setliff went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Furrow has snagged this season. Shawna Young was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs.

Christian Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ridgeview Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

As of now, neither Christian Heritage Academy nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
