Basketball Recap: Tartan Victorious

Tartan is still undefeated this season after their contest against Hastings on Friday, but Hastings came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Tartan Titans had just enough and edged the Hastings Raiders out 73-71. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tartan pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Hastings, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tartan will venture away from home to challenge Eagan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Tartan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Hastings, they will head out on the road to take on South St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hastings knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully South St. Paul likes a good challenge.
