Basketball Recap: San Gorgonio Comes Up Short

San Gorgonio lost against Big Bear back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Gorgonio Spartans fell 66-55 to the Big Bear Bears.

Savion Sorapuru went supernova for Big Bear, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Sorapuru a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Brewer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

San Gorgonio dropped their record down to 6-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Big Bear, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Gorgonio will face off against Colton at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Big Bear, they will take on Riverside Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
