Football Recap: West Holt Comes Up Short

West Holt lost against Ravenna back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huskies lost to the Bluejays at home by a 38-20 margin. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Bluejays are ranked 20th).

Ravenna was led to victory by Trenton Wedemeyer and Kobe Chamberlin. Wedemeyer rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, while Chamberlin rushed for 186 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Chamberlin showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.

West Holt's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Ravenna, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

West Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ravenna, they will face off against Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 929 yards in their previous games.
