Basketball Game Preview: Wilmot Wolves vs. Waverly/South Shore Coyotes

Wilmot hasn't had much luck against Waverly/South Shore recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The two teams will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m.

Wilmot is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They took a 54-38 bruising from Webster.

Meanwhile, Waverly/South Shore strolled past Great Plains Lutheran with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 49-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Coyotes.

Waverly/South Shore pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Wilmot, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Wilmot came up short against Waverly/South Shore in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 52-43. Can Wilmot avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
