Baseball Recap: Ash Fork/Seligman Takes a Loss

Ash Fork/Seligman saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against the Alchesay Falcons, falling 19-5. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ash Fork/Seligman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Cauthen, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Cauthen has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another was Branson Milius, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Ash Fork/Seligman's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Alchesay, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Looking ahead, Ash Fork/Seligman will be taking part in a tournament against Ganado at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Alchesay, they will head out on the road to square off against Chinle at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
