Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Tracy Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against Tracy. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Tracy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lincoln and Tracy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Trojans never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Not much got past Joey Victor, who gave up just five hits to keep Tracy off the board. Victor also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lincoln is 8-3 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lincoln saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Thurman-Swanson, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tracy, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
