Basketball Recap: Oldsmar Christian Red Starts Season with Victory Against Inverness Christian Academy

Oldsmar Christian Red had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Inverness Christian Academy by a score of 52-39. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Inverness Christian Academy lost, don't look at Mason Albair. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points and five steals. Albair's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Xavier Koster was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Inverness Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Oldsmar Christian Red does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Inverness Christian Academy, they will take on Spring Hill Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
