Baseball Recap: Petaluma Wins Going Away Against Napa

Petaluma got themselves on the board against Napa on Tuesday, but Napa never followed suit. They blew past the Grizzlies 10-0. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Aiden Jones looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, August Cuneo was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Dalton Deadman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Petaluma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Napa only posted a batting average of .211.

Petaluma's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Napa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Petaluma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
