Lee's Summit West faced Jackson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Titans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Fighting Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Tori Massengill paced Lee's Summit West's offense, picking up nine kills. Massengill got some help from Jaelyn Jordan and her 20 assists. Jordan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lee's Summit West's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Jackson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Lee's Summit West has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against St. Pius X on the 13th. As for Jackson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Nixa on the 13th.
