Basketball Recap: Wasco Comes Up Short

Wasco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Kennedy Thunderbirds and fell 69-39. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-47 back in December of 2024.

Wasco's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Kennedy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wasco will host Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Kennedy has won three straight at home, while Taft won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
