Soccer Recap: Riverheads' Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Riverheads and Clarke County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Riverheads had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Riverheads struggled afterwards.

Riverheads' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5-1. As for Clarke County, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Riverheads will head out to square off against Poquoson on Tuesday. Poquoson will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last. As for Clarke County, they will welcome King William at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarke County will be up against King William's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
