Football Game Preview: Gardendale Rockets vs. Spain Park Jaguars + How To Watch

The Gardendale Rockets will head out on the road to challenge the Spain Park Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gardendale has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while Spain Park will arrive with five straight wins.

Gardendale blew Woodlawn out of the water the last time the pair played, but last Friday Woodlawn got their revenge. The Rockets fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 40-37. On the bright side, the 37- point performance marked the Rockets' highest-scoring contest to date.

Despite the defeat, Gardendale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rian Porter threw for 181 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score.

Meanwhile, Spain Park never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past Chilton County to the tune of 49-0. Considering the Jaguars have won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gardendale better keep an eye on Brock Bradley. He was instrumental in Spain Park's win, throwing for 123 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

Gardendale's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Spain Park, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Gardendale suffered a grim 35-12 defeat to Spain Park when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
