Baseball Recap: Southwestern Randolph Takes a Loss

Southwestern Randolph suffered their biggest defeat since March 12, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Randleman Tigers, falling 11-4. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Southwestern Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Randleman, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Southwestern Randolph Cougars take on Eastern Randolph Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern Randolph's pitchers better be ready for this one: Eastern Randolph has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Randleman, they will take on Uwharrie Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Uwharrie Charter Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Randleman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
