Volleyball Recap: Idaly Sotelo and CC Murillo Secure Win for West Plains

There's no place like home for West Plains, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Timber Creek Falcons by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

West Plains not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Timber Creek between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18.

West Plains was led to victory by CC Murillo and Idaly Sotelo. Murillo had three digs and two aces, while Sotelo had nine digs and one assist. Murillo has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 30 times she's played.

Despite the loss, Timber Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Wilcox had 16 digs and one assist.

West Plains' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Timber Creek, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

West Plains wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Waxahachie on the 14th. As for Timber Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Midland Legacy on the 14th.
