Volleyball Recap: Highlands Ranch Takes a Loss

Highlands Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Regis Groff Fusion, falling 3-0. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Fusion from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-19.

Talan Polk paced Highlands Ranch's offense, picking up five kills. Polk got some help from Derek Pierce and his four assists. Polk was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Regis Groff can attribute much of their success to Noah Youngveitch, who had 17 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Youngveitch has posted since back in April of 2024.

Highlands Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Regis Groff, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Highlands Ranch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Doherty on the 8th. As for Regis Groff, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Pomona on the 6th.
