Basketball Game Preview: Grandview Greyhounds vs. Ellensburg Bulldogs

The Grandview Greyhounds and the Ellensburg Bulldogs will meet in a canine-themed contest at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grandview will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Grandview humbled Othello with a 93-43 victory. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Huskies are ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ellensburg was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 62-58 to Prosser.

Grandview pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.0 points per game. As for Ellensburg, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Grandview suffered a grim 71-50 defeat to Ellensburg when the teams last played back in January. Can Grandview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
