Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Fayetteville Academy Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rocky Mount Academy, the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Fayetteville Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. For Harrells Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 39-19 loss Fayetteville Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Polly Miller, who scored 17 points. Miller scored a full 37.8% of Fayetteville Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Riley Duchon was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Harrells Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fayetteville Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Harrells Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. As for Fayetteville Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Mount Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocky Mount Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
