Baseball Recap: Piner Takes a Loss

Piner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to the Analy Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Prospectors have lost by exactly five runs.

Sokhayne Prak was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Anthony Douglas was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Piner's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Analy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Piner has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Salesian College Preparatory on the 19th. As for Analy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-1 victory against Healdsburg on the 26th.
