Football Recap: First Baptist Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

First Baptist Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Palmetto Ridge Bears by a score of 19-12. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Although Palmetto Ridge took the loss, they still got scores from Gabriel Cuadra and Cooper Hall.

With the victory, First Baptist Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7. As for Palmetto Ridge, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, First Baptist Academy will welcome Community School of Naples at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmetto Ridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Golden Gate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
