Football Game Preview: Morgan Huskies vs. Granby Memorial/Canton Bears

The Morgan Huskies will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Granby Memorial/Canton Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Morgan's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against North Branford back in September. The matchup between the Huskies and the Thunderbirds didn't end well, with the Huskies falling 14-0. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Granby Memorial/Canton never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over Capital Prep/Achievement First. Considering the Bears have won four contests by more than 40 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Granby Memorial/Canton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Morgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Morgan ended up a good deal behind Granby Memorial/Canton in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, losing 38-22. Thankfully for the Huskies, William Migliaccio (who threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
