Basketball Recap: North Park Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vail Mountain, North Park was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 47-37 win over the Hayden Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Chris Reyes was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 14 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards. Orlando Martinez was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Hayden still got an impressive performance from Cameron Morrison, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Morrison is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games he's played.

North Park picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 8-6. As for Hayden, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

North Park has already played their next match, a 43-40 loss against Caprock Academy on the 8th. As for Hayden, they will challenge West Grand at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
