Basketball Recap: Brazos Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

After losing to Shiner the last time they met, Brazos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Brazos Cougars came out on top against the Shiner Comanches by a score of 55-43 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly 12 points.

Brazos is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Shiner, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Brazos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-38 loss against Bellville on the 27th. Shiner and Flatonia will round out the year against one another at at 12:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Shiner has won four straight at home dating back to last season, while Flatonia won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
