Baseball Recap: Brighton's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Brighton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bartlett Panthers by a score of 6-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 two weeks ago.

Brighton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Glass, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave Glass a new career-high. Carson Hooper also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Brighton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bartlett, they moved to 9-5-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brighton will welcome Fayette Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fayette Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Brighton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bartlett, they will face off against Memphis University School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
