It was a good run, but Lakeview unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kearney Catholic Stars. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Stars from their previous meeting back in November of 2021.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeview lost, don't look at Kenzie Greisen. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Greisen has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Kearney Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Lakeview has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Ashland-Greenwood on the 27th. As for Kearney Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Waverly on the 27th.
