Basketball Game Preview: Suring Eagles vs. Oneida Nation Thunderhawks

Suring is 2-8 against Oneida Nation since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Thunderhawks at 7:00 p.m. Suring will be strutting in after a victory while Oneida Nation will be coming in after a loss.

Oneida Nation will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Suring extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against Lena by a score of 65-53. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Oneida Nation suffered their closest defeat since January 28, 2025 on Monday. They fell just short of Coleman by a score of 56-53. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderhawks in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Oneida Nation's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Suring, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Suring came out on top in a nail-biter against Oneida Nation in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, sneaking past 55-52. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Thunderhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
