Football Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chapel Hill can now relate to. They were dealt a 52-13 defeat at the hands of the Marvin Ridge Mavericks on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 39 points.

Samuel Zimmermann threw for 122 yards and one touchdown. Prosper Mbaigon was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Christian Brooks-Mcmillan rushed for 102 yards and one score.

Marvin Ridge found their leader in sophomore Levi Kerr, who threw for 194 yards and four TDs on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Haines, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Chapel Hill and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Marvin Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 6-5.

As of now, neither Chapel Hill nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
