Volleyball Recap: Chase Falls Despite Big Games from Myleekaye Fincher and Ava Byrd + How To Watch

Chase lost against East Burke back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Chase had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 13-25, 25-20.

Chase's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Byrd and MyleeKaye Fincher. Byrd had 29 digs, while Fincher had six digs and three aces. Byrd has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Hermione Garro was the offensive standout of the match as she had 18 digs.

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for East Burke, their win ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-14.
