Soccer Recap: Caprock Comes Up Short

Caprock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Amarillo Sandies, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Sandies are ranked 68th).

Caprock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Amarillo, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Caprock will head out to face off against Lubbock-Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amarillo, they will be playing at home against Lubbock at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
