Baseball Recap: Llano Comes Up Short

Llano was the 4-3 winner over TMI-Episcopal when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Llano Yellowjackets fell just short of the TMI-Episcopal Panthers by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.

Carsten Hays was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Logan Van Pelt was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Llano's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for TMI-Episcopal, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Llano will host Marble Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marble Falls has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something Llano will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for TMI-Episcopal, they will face off against St. Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
