Softball Game Preview: Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs vs. Middleburgh Knights

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs will challenge the Middleburgh Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Berne-Knox-Westerlo's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Middleburgh has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Mayfield as they made off with an 8-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Middleburgh couldn't beat Cobleskill-Richmondville on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Knights lost 34-4 to the Bulldogs.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Middleburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Berne-Knox-Westerlo's way against Middleburgh in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Berne-Knox-Westerlo made off with a 17-4 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
