The Englewood Rams will head out on the road to take on the Raines Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Englewood will be strutting in after a win while Raines will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row dating back to last season, Englewood turned things around against Parker on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Braves as they made off with a 16-0 victory.

Ashleigh McDaniels was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Skyly Hyers and Kammarria Pate did most of the damage at the plate: Hyers went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI, while Pate scored three runs and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kiandra Carswell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Englewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted an OBP of .133.

Meanwhile, Raines lost 21-12 to Stanton on Thursday.

Englewood's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Raines, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Englewood took their victory against Raines when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Englewood since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
