Soccer Game Preview: Blue Valley North vs. Gardner-Edgerton

The Blue Valley North Mustangs will challenge the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Blue Valley North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kansas' top teams: De Soto, who was ranked 13th at the time (Blue Valley North was ranked second). The Mustangs came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Blue Valley North considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Gardner-Edgerton came into Thursday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Shawnee Mission North get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Taylor Owen had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Gardner-Edgerton.

Blue Valley North's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Gardner-Edgerton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
