Basketball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost against Stafford last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the Mountain View Wildcats and the Stafford Indians didn't end well, with the Mountain View Wildcats falling 54-40. The Wildcats were down 45-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Stafford found their leader in freshman Olivia Ferguson, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sanaa Jenkins, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain View and nudges their season record down to 10-14. As for Stafford, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stafford, they will face off against Colonial Forge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
