Mio-Au Sable had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.4 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-41 victory over the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 37-20 victory back in February.

Au Gres-Sims' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillie Maser, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. Maser is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games she's played. Charlotte Ming was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Mio-Au Sable's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Au Gres-Sims, they moved to 16-7 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Mio-Au Sable will be taking part in a tournament against St. Mary Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (St. Mary Cathedral 30, Mio-Au Sable 30) so any points scored will be well earned. Au Gres-Sims does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
