Volleyball Recap: Oviedo Takes Down Pace in a Playoff Battle

Oviedo extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Pace. They blew past the Patriots 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 25-19.

Oviedo's offense was headlined by Maddie Mehring and Eva Woolm, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Delaney Sloane and her 29 assists. Woolm was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oviedo's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Pace, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-9.

Oviedo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Buchholz on the 25th. Pace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
