It's playoff time, and Lutheran had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Battle Mountain Huskies a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. Lutheran might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Battle Mountain from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Sydney Murphy led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those nine matchups. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6-3.

Looking ahead, Lutheran will be playing in front of their home fans against Mullen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Battle Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
