Cyril hadn't done well against Alex recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pirates breezed past the Longhorns to the tune of 56-6. The Pirates' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Nash Harman threw for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes. Braxon Hughes was his top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and one score.

Cyril pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.4 points. As for Alex, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
