Softball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland lost against El Camino back in March of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Woodland Wolves lost 11-5 to the El Camino Eagles. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Rathjen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Presley Pinegar, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for El Camino, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Woodland and Sutter will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Camino, they will square off against Casa Roble at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. El Camino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
