Basketball Recap: Jordan Tran's Big Game Can't Quite Lead River City over River Valley

River City was the 70-63 winner over River Valley when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The River City Raiders took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Valley Falcons. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Tran, who posted ten points. Aaron Burdick was another key player, putting up nine points.

River Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Manraj Sarai, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gurtaran Sanghu, who put up ten points and six rebounds.

River City is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for River Valley, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

River City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-68 defeat against Bella Vista on the 11th. As for River Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-26 loss against Granada on the 11th.
