Baseball Recap: Page County Comes Up Short

Page County lost against Turner Ashby two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Page County lost 18-1 to Turner Ashby. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Page County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that Taylor snagged this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Page County and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Turner Ashby, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Page County will host Central Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Turner Ashby, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harrisonburg at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. This will be Turner Ashby's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
