Basketball Game Preview: Jennings County Panthers vs. Rushville Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Jennings County Panthers duke it out with the Rushville Lions at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jennings County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Carmel just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-45 to the Greyhounds.

Meanwhile, Rushville ended up a good deal behind NorthWood on Saturday and lost 54-38. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jennings County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Rushville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Everything came up roses for Jennings County against Rushville when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jennings County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
