            Baseball Recap: Ballard Beavers vs. Bishop Blanchet Bears        
        
		
        
        
            Ballard lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bishop Blanchet, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's   matchup. The Beavers never let the Bears get on the board and left with  a   6-0  win  on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the eighth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
 Aiden DePaula made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news, Ballard let  Wes Manger and  James Sand run wild. Manger  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Sand  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Manger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brady Miailovich, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
Ballard is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Blanchet, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballard will welcome Lincoln  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Bishop Blanchet, they will be playing at home against Seattle Prep  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday.
