Soccer Recap: Grace Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Academy entered their matchup against Mountain Island Charter on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions came up short against the Raptors, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for Grace Academy seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Grace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2-1. As for Mountain Island Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will host The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grace Academy will be up against The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus' rather soft defense (which has allowed nine goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mountain Island Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
