Softball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Linden hit Brighton with a seven-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brighton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Minnick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Minnick is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Another was Ava Heaney, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Brighton's record now sits at 11-23-1. As for Linden, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 30-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brighton will head out to square off against Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Linden, they will challenge Hartland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
